Clover Lodge has been our home for 10 years and if we were not moving to Spain, we would never leave.

We love the privacy that Arlington Grange provides, just five houses and the Fairhurst estate’s head office.

It gives us the perfect balance of uninterrupted countryside views plus convenient links into Newbury town (10 minutes away) and major transport links (London in 48 minutes by train).

Being enveloped in this unspoilt location we enjoy wildlife all year round, rabbits & hares, wild deer, red kites, pheasants and sometimes spot a herd of cows in the distance. On the longest day we like to have a sleep-over in our garden pod and watch the spectacular solstice sunrise.

As we enjoy walking and café culture, Newbury and the surrounding area has endless options with the canal, a local nature reserve, two golf courses and footpaths to explore in every direction.

We love the flexibility of the accommodation, and often think it is like a tardis, as it opens up to reveal large spacious rooms filled with light.
